Before you start
A few things worth knowing.
What updates and support are included?
Updates may be released at the developer’s discretion, with no promised schedule or guarantee of future releases. ADVISR is built and maintained by one independent developer. Support is limited and provided as availability allows, with no guaranteed response or resolution time.
Is Ledger only for prop traders?
No. Trades, journals, performance, and the Playbook are useful whether you trade your own account or with a prop firm. The prop features are there if you need them.
How do I get my trades into Ledger?
Import a CSV and map its columns, or add trades by hand. Review the import before saving it.
Where is my information stored?
On your computer, encrypted. You choose where to keep your password-encrypted backups.
Can I move to another computer?
Yes. Export a password-encrypted backup and restore it in Ledger on the other computer using that password. A restore replaces the data in the destination installation, so back that up first if you want to keep it.
Can I use Ledger from another device?
Yes. Enable LAN access and open Ledger in a browser on a device connected to the same local network.
Do I need the course or a mentor?
No. Ledger is a standalone app. The course complements it, and mentorship is there if you want someone to help you review your trading.
What if I want to mentor other traders?
Mentor Server is $250 USD for one activation. Every mentor and mentee also needs their own Ledger license, sold separately for $35 USD with one activation. Mentor Server does not include Ledger. The server operator needs a Cloudflare account and a domain active on Cloudflare DNS; mentees do not need their own Cloudflare account or domain.
A low-cost domain is enough. When searching Cloudflare domains, turn on both the Available and Under $10 filters to narrow the results.
Which currencies does Ledger support?
Ledger supports US dollars (USD), Canadian dollars (CAD), euros (EUR), British pounds (GBP), and Indian rupees (INR). Your records retain their original supported currencies. Where a report needs a conversion, missing exchange rates are flagged.
